Professional job vacancies in Ireland rose by 20% in the year ending May 2013 according to a jobs survey by Morgan McKinley.
The survey showed there were 9,434 professional jobs available in May 2013, up from 7,890 in May last year.
The number of professionals looking for new jobs in May 2013 was 20% lower than at the same time last year.
Multinational companies continued to lead the hiring activity, with the areas of information technology and money laundering and compliance having the highest demand.
Risk professionals in insurance and banking and those with multi-lingual skills were also in demand.
